Wedgie Master

Today was Lincoln's first trip to the principals office. Ms. Kelly called to tell me about their conversation...

Ms Kelly : "Lincoln, we don't give other kids wedgies on the playground. Why did you do that?"

Lincoln (straight-faced): "Because I'm the wedgie-master"

Seriously.

Riding the Bus is Cool

On it's way down Robson Street...
Not far now...
Best thing about starting kindergarten, riding the bus. Cool.

School Shopping

School shopping date night...Red Robin for spaghetti with no sauce, arcade games and jumping for balloons...10 new shirts that he wore all at one time, and two new pairs of "cool jeans" from Old Navy ....two new pairs of kicks, one pair of skater shoes and one pair of sketchers cause, "Mom, Sketchers have air pockets that make you super comfy". Right.
All of the above accomplished in just under two hours. Whew.
My baby boy starts the big K on monday. As every mom on the planet, I feel strangely conflicted about my first born starting school.

"Who will drag him by the arm back to class when he goes to the restroom and gets side tracked by cool bugs along the way?"

"Who is going to get him the ten snacks he asks for in the morning before lunch?"

"Who is going to answer his 5 trillion questions about how every thing in the world is made?"

I'm concerned.
And exhausted.
And excited for my boy to start a new adventure. Go Lincoln!

Lincoln goes Scholastic

No, this is not posed, he's totally serious. We had a field trip to Starbucks yesterday with all three boys (it's Arizona, 112 degrees and I couldn't spend one more minute in the house) and I come back from getting our drinks to this adorable scene.

Here's me..."Hey buddy, what ya doing?"
Lincoln..."I'm just reading the paper Mom"  Duh.
He's five going on 20.
I'm going to cry so hard when I take him to kindergarten next month.
Happy 4th everyone!
