Found some pretty cool things for our new pad this weekend. 


I went back and forth about the yellow suitcase, but am so glad I didn't leave it behind. The vintage cameras are going to be a great addition to my collection. I've been looking for a quail family and fell in love with this sweet 60's pottery set. (Plus it was a steal for $14!) These awesome science textbooks are a fun nod to my past and in gorgeous colors. Finally, the 60's fondue set is the perfect color for our new kitchen. 


Cool. Retro Stuff. I heart it ALL. 

Alphabeasties Art

I've never met an old window I didn't like. In fact, it's a bit of an addiction I'm afraid. There's a line-up of them in my attic waiting their turn in the limelight. 

I've been holding onto my Alphabeasties Alphabet Flash Cards until just the right display came along. Found these great, extra-long windows the other day at Pat's Corner for practically pennies. A perfect fit for Ben and Bear's room. 

Vintage Glass Wine Stoppers

If you're like me and think older is better, these vintage doorknob wine stoppers might be right up your alley. I make each by hand with one-of-a-kind knobs and other vintage hardware. No two are the same. That's another thing I like, having something no one else has. :) Junior high, I know.

Hunting for Platters

I thought I was done with silver pieces myself. But since I've been thrifting for vintage silver platters recently, I've got the bug again. 


These gems will be the display above Erika's creamy white brick fireplace in her newly renovated living room. The round one with the scrolled edge is my favorite. I love the combination of ornate with simple, modern shapes. 


I love thinking about the different houses and families that have used each of these pieces. Do you have a favorite piece of silver that's been passed down in your family? 

Vintage Finds

It's not very smart to hit the yard sales with three kids, but I just happened upon these awesome lamps on the way to Starbucks. A buck each. Solid. 


I'm thinking I'm going to try cleaning them up and welcome some bronze into my life. We'll see. I'll probably chicken out and paint them. (John always says you have to stay moving in our house or you'll get painted. So sassy.) I'll "before and after" these for you.

Market Day

It was a successful day at the McKinley Market! Raised a bunch of money for the school, and met lots of new parents, teachers and neighbors. 

My Three Sons had a strong debut, lots of interest and sales. Thanks for the support!
