Kitchen Mini-Remodel

One of the ways I like to occupy my evenings when John is on a long trip is with a good home project. First step was to get permission to paint from my landlord. Check. Next, deciding on colors, fabric and the overall "feel" I was hoping for. Check out the final product.

Martha Stewart colors. Bedford Grey for the walls and Bay Leaf on the island.

Make-your-own chalkboard paint on the dishwasher.
Accessories from Crate & Barrel Outlet : Yellow Tray & Magnetic Glass Board.
Norden Bench from IKEA in natural pine. Fabric valances by My Three Sons.
Antique surboard - vintage find, plants and above cabinet rectangular vases from IKEA, filler lemons from Target.
This vinyl decal from Tasty Suite was already on the wall. I painted over it with the hope that I could peel it off and have the white design underneath.

It looks FABULOUS!! Love every single thing that you did! I'm so impressed that you got it all done with 3 kids in tow!
I'm moving back to the "old neighborhood" to my parents house and have bookmarked a bunch of your posts for inspiration. :) Thanks for sharing your know-how.
