We celebrated our 13th Anniversary yesterday hopping winery tasting rooms in Temecula, followed up by dinner at the SouthCoast Winery & Resort. Giving myself a pat on the back for the idea because it was so much fun. 40 wineries strung along one long winding road. We ended up visiting four great spots, but my absolute favorite was Stuart Cellars. We came in at the end of the day, only tasters at the time, and had a great conversation with Susan Stuart, one of the winery's owners. She's an absolute gem. Loved it so much we joined their Wine Club and will be back for a members party soon. They had wonderful full-bodied reds. My favorites were the Cabernet Franc and the 2006 Cabernet Savignon. Delicious.
