Zoe, the cat (only Byard pet to last over three years) meowed the first three hours...
Lincoln & Princess Leia (grossly overweight hamster) kept John company in the truck (John's been slightly grouchy ever since).
I cried when I saw the "welcome to California" sign. And sang 80's and 90's pop music the rest of the way.
"We're going back to Cali" and other corny songs that made me feel better.
